DESCRIPTION: This project involves manual and automated (real-time) monitoring works along the exisiting ERL track where the construction works were carried out. The main objective is to monitor any ground movement at the construction site and along the exisiting ERL track. INSTRUMENTS: Manual instrumentation includes Inclinometer in Soil and Contiguous Bored Piling, Tiltmeter, Settlement Marker, and Water Standpipe. Real-time instrumentation includes three Automatic Total Station (ATS) which monitor 63 optical prisms mounted on the concrete sleepers of the tracks. Data is collected automatically every half an hour and displayed in real time, together with automatic SMS warnings to selected personnel in the event of any triggers (Alert, Action, Alarm).
